Sick of being Sick!

Remember my kidney stone that I passed? Well when I continued to have problems, I went to the doctor and found out I had a UTI. So after a week of antibiotics, I was feeling much better...... just in time to catch a cold from Mitch. Why? I'm getting really sick of feeling like crap. On top of all this, I have some other issues going on in my life lately. Do you ever feel like life is picking on you? haha Mitch says that this is all just part of life's tests. That didn't make me feel better hahaha
Last night I decided to make Mitch homemade broccoli cheese soup since he was sick. He repaid me by sharing his cold with me. Yay.

Lately I've taken...

some random pictures of thing going on in my boring life. Don't get too excited.

This is the view from my couch...... Andy's life is pretty tough

We almost always see hot air balloons on Sunday mornings... this one landed in that field, and then again ON our hill.

Someone who lives by my mom left this table and chairs on the side of the road for anyone to take....... so we of course took them! We're pretty excited to eat outside when it cools down :)

Remember when I posted about us fixing up the side walkway to our basement? Well this is what it looks like now.... the plants have grown like crazy!

Andy loves when she's allowed to run around out back

Andy likes to "help" Mitch while he BBQ's...... she stands RIGHT behind him :)

New quilts for new babies!

Have I ever mentioned that I LOVE being an aunt? And lucky for me, I have another niece and nephew on the way! Aleisha is having a baby boy in October, and Robyn is having a girl in November. Naturally, I had to make them quilts! I also decided to make carseat covers for each of them. It think they turned out pretty cute.

I loved the fabric so much I bought some for whenever I have a little girl!

It's kinda hard to tell, but the back was a cute soft green

The carseat cover

The lighting isn't great in this picture, but Aleisha found a cute crib bumper that matched perfectly with the baby's quilt. I also made a cute little pillow to match :)

And here is the matching carseat cover

Tarzan

On Monday night, I went with my family to see Tarzan at Tuacahn. It was really good! I went with my mom, sister, three sister-in-laws, and all 8 nieces and nephews. I always think it's funner to do things like this with the kids, just to see how excited they get! Kenzee and Lyla were a little scared in some parts, but for the most part, the kids all liked it. There were lots of characters flying around on zip-lines and stuff, so it was quite different than anything else I've seen at Tuacahn!

Brooklyn waiting for the show to start...

Our group was split up on two rows...

We weren't allowed to take pictures during the show, so this picture before the show is the only one I have of the stage

Kenzee and Brooklyn during intermission

Lyla and Ashlee.... clearly Lyla really wanted to take a picture haha

Hearty Meals

Mitch often likes to refer to my meals (like the one pictured above) as "hearty meals." I'm not sure why...... but it's pretty funny when he says it. "Welp, that was a good hearty meal. Thanks!" Do we live in the 50's? haha

Twenty-Three

In August, I had my 23rd birthday. It was right in the middle of the week..... so we didn't really plan anything special. On my birthday morning, Mitch brought me doughnuts and he had a new CD waiting for me in my CD player. He's a good boy :)

Halloween!!

Aren't these so stinkin cool?

So........ I'm getting excited for Halloween! I've been so busy with work that I haven't really paid attention to the fact that it's already the end of September. Today while we were visiting Mitch's parents, I was looking through one of Becky's magazines and saw these cute cupcakes. I saw some really cute Halloween lanterns I'm going to try to make, too. When I finished looking through the magazine, I was really excited for the holidays! Halloween is like the kick-off of the best time of year. Anyways, when we got back home, I got to work putting out all the Halloween decorations. I love the fall!! I think I might get the stuff for these cupcakes and have some fun with my nieces and nephews!
I haven't posted in a while, so I guess I should put a little update. Mitch is still working his butt off going to school full time and working at the college. In October he'll start playing in city basketball again.... but this year my brothers are playing on his team and a few other better players, so we're hoping it turns out a little better than last year ;) I have been working A LOT lately. Within 2 weeks, three of the 6 employees at our branch either transfered or left. So needless to say, it's been a little crazy! It has been great to work full time though. Just a few more weeks and I'll go back to a more normal schedule..... one in which I only have to work every 3rd Saturday!! I'm so excited! To add to all the craziness of my life, I have been blessed with kidney stones. Yay for me! Last weekend my back was KILLING me and I was having some pains, but I didn't realize what was wrong until I passed the kidney stone. Fun stuff! I am pretty sure I'm in the process of passing another one (or else we think I might have a kidney/bladder infection). Tomorrow I'm making a doctors appointment, so hopefully I'll be all better soon. Other than that, life is wonderful. Time is flying by, and I'm enjoying the time I have to be with Mitch. Two more months and we'll be celebrating our two year wedding anniversary. Crazy how fast it's gone by! Anyways, I'll post again soon!
