Camryn's Baby Blessing

Camryn was blessed on November 6th, 2011.  It was an awesome experience to see Mitch bless our baby and to see how HUGE the circle was around her!  It's good to know that she has so many men in her life to love, support, and protect her :)  We had a nice lunch with family afterwards.  The only thing missing from her blessing day was my mom.  We know that she wanted to be there though, and we took Camryn to get ready at the hospital so my mom could see her in her dress.

Three Months!

I'm 3 Months!!

I'm a little behind on blogging, but Camryn turned 3 months on Nov 16th.  Here are some pictures from her third month :)

Halloween 2011

My cute little Ladybug wasn't very happy for Halloween this year.... hopefully next year will be better :)

Drive Over Cedar Mountain

Back in October, when Camryn was about 9 weeks old, Mitch and I decided to take an afternoon drive before I had to go back to work from maternity leave.  Mitch has always wanted to take me over Cedar Mountain, so we packed up and went!  Amazingly, Camryn pretty much slept the whole time.  It was nice to get out of the house and spend some time together :)  Here are a few pictures

2 month check-up

Camryn had her 2 month check-up at the doctors yesterday.  She is doing great.  He said that she is getting fatter and that she is beautiful :)


Weight = 11 lbs 9 oz    (68%)

Length = 22 in    (33%)

Head = 15 in    (27%)


Basically, my baby is short and chubby...... so she fits right in with the family haha  She got her shots too. Though she screamed for a few minutes afterward, she has handled it like a champ!

A few things about Camryn right now:

-She is sleeping 8-10 hours through the night (only if wrapped tight in a blanket)
-She smiles back when you talk to her
-She is starting to try to talk back when you play with her
-She loves to sit in her swing and smiles at herself in the little mirror on her mobile
-She LOVES to watch the ceiling fan
-She loves to look at lights
-She still has all her hair..... we like to call it a mohawk/mullet (my brother wants to know how our baby was born with a white-trash hair-do haha)
-She absolutely hates tummy-time.  She screams the whole time she's on her stomach
-She blows bubbles :)
-We still aren't sure what color her eyes are.  They sorta look blue, but sometimes I see little flecks of brown
-Mitch says that Camryn farts like a grown man haha It is actually pretty true, and funny

The secret to Camryn's happiness is...

First Photoshoot

When Camryn was 4 weeks, she had her first photoshoot with my sister in law MJ.  The pictures turned out so cute.  And I'm aware that there are two of each picture... I just couldn't choose between the colored and black&white ones :)

Camryn's First 2 Months

I can't believe how fast the last 2 months have gone by.  We are completely in love with Camryn and our lives pretty much revolve around her now haha  She is smiling lots now and getting quite the personality.  We like to tease that she's a bit high-maintenance because she really likes to be held, but for the most part she has been a really good baby.  For the first 7 weeks, she wasn't sleeping very well at night, but I think we've started to get her on a schedule now.  For the past week, she has gone to bed around midnight and slept for 8 hours straight.  It has been amazing.  The key is wrapping her up REALLY tight in a blanket at night.  She still looks a lot like her daddy, but she is changing all the time and getting chubbier everyday.  We love our baby girl.

We tried a curler to see if it would help curl her hair... it didn't work so well
