Snake!

One night, a few weeks ago, Mitch's parents' dog wouldn't stop barking. So my father-in-law, Kim, went outside to see what was going on. When he looked in the dog's pen, he saw a snake! I'm pretty sure he thought it might be a rattlesnake. So he went back inside and grabbed Becky and his shotgun. Becky held the dog back while Kim shot the snake! This picture was taken the day after. Turns out, it was just a blow snake.... better safe than sorry though! I'm gonna go ahead and keep pretending that there aren't snakes around our house though!

Sunset

We were hanging out in our backyard the other evening and I thought this sunset was too pretty not to snap a picture :)

Sunflowers

Like always, Mitch (and me a little bit) has been working on our backyard. We... well it started out as just me, but then I begged Mitch until he agreed....... decided to put up a white fence behind our biggest flower bed. I was sick of seeing all the dead weeds and dirt behind it, plus the flowers needed a little shade. I think it looks lots better, and our flowers are all doing great! Mitch also planted a few different kinds of sunflowers around the backyard and they have all started to bloom in the last two weeks. Some of them are HUGE!

This is what it looked like before...

And after.... we still have to keep fence around the whole thing to try to keep the rabbits, squirrels, and chipmunks out!

Andy layed in the wet grass and watched as we put the fence up :)

Some of the sunflowers

This sunflower has to be almost 7 feet tall! It's crazy to think that it came from a tiny little seed!

Little Surprises

Who wouldn't love waking up to little surprises like this? I have the best husband :)

Oak City & Pinto Weekend

Two weeks ago, Mitch's brother Ryan and his family came to Utah to visit from Kansas. We drove up to Oak City to meet up with them and then went to Pinto the next day. Here are some pictures from that weekend.... most of them are of Mitch, Micci, and me bowling in Delta :)

I loved these old buildings in Milford

On the way up to Oak City, we passed a million of these windmill things... and for some reason they're really creepy to me!

More windmills!

Mitch's name was "Destroyer".... though it wasn't very fitting!

This is what it looks like when Micci WHOOPS Mitch in bowling!

We saw two rainbows on the drive to Pinto

And had to stop about 10 times for all the cows in the road!

And here are some videos from bowling.... I love when Mitch yells into the camera at the end of this video :)

Me + Dancing = Sprained Ankle

If you take a look at my left ankle and foot, you'll notice that it's nice and swollen. THIS is what happens when I dance! I've started going to a Zumba class and thought that I was doing pretty well. Then I came home a couple weeks ago and tried to show Mitch a funny part of one of the dances. Well apparently it got a little out of control.... which lead to me landing on my foot weird, hearing a pop, and falling flat on my butt. I laid there laughing because it was so rediculous and crying because it hurt so bad! It took Mitch about 30 seconds to realize what was going on. He ran over to me and said, "Sorry, I thought that was still just part of the routine!" hahaha Anyways, I had my doctor look at it and he said it's just sprained and eventually the swelling will go down. Now the big question is : Do I dare try Zumba again?! haha I think I will, but this time I'll calm it down a notch or two ;)

4th of July

Mitch and I had a fun 4th of July this year doing fireworks with my family. As always, the Blake reunion was on Saturday up at my granparents' cabin on Kolob. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go because I had to work :( We still got to hang out with the family that night at my grandma's house though. My brother brought some fireworks for the kids to do out front, and then we went out back to eat root beer floats and watch the city fireworks from my grandparent's backyard. Here are some pictures I took while we were there....
